A Fairview sunset

1. What are you reading?
2. What is the weather like at your house?
3. What did you have for supper last night?
I just finished a book someone gave me to read: The Glory of the Stars: A Study of the Zodiac by E. Raymond Capt. I found I disagreed with his basic premise that Adam knew enough about what was to come (the fall, the Christ, the virgin birth) to give these meanings to the zodiac and that he, himself, could accurately piece together these meanings. Interesting book, but I would not go out and buy it :-)
The weather is hot and muggy. We are living in a drought this summer, and we really did not need another bad crop year :-(. Pray for rain.
I baked one of our home-raised turkeys and served it with potatoes, green beans from the garden, lemon jello (I found a couple of boxes in the cupboard and thought I'd make them up--I don't normally have them on hand!), and fresh black raspberries. Mmmmm.
Have a great day!

1. What are you reading? The Bark of the Dogwood by Jackson Tippett McCrae - pretty good so far
2. What is the weather like at your house? It is very hot, and our county water main burst, so we can't use our water. There are a lot of hot, stinky people walking around here.
3. What did you have for supper last night? Leftover pizza. The water restriction caused all the restaurants to close down. Bud's out of town, and I *don't* cook when he's gone. So, leftover pizza.
I'll pray for rain, too.
1. Jane Eyre
2. Sunny and 75 degrees with a light breeze. Summer in Seattle is wonderful.
3. Grilled chicken.
Crissy
I just finished Chance or The Dance, a critique of modern secularism. Very interesting, and had me reaching for the dictionary every few pages. Next book, The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins.
It's hot. BLECH.
Supper last night was Sweet and Sour meatballs, rice, and fruit.
I'm reading Hard to Believe by John MacArthur, and I'm hurrying because I want to read the new book I got.
It's very, very hot and muggy. I'll be glad when it's over with.
We had roast beef cooked in the crockpot.
I love the sunset picture.
Six comments! I'm rich :-). It sounds as though we are all going to have to have a party--at Crissy's house! Potluck?
I'm still reading Bret Lott's _Before We Get Started_, a great book about the writing life. (He wrote _Jewel_.)
I am reading some of these bloggers are anxiously awaiting Harry Potter's release tonight. Am I missing something?
The high here will be 85, and the humidity is also too high. We had Dennis leftovers on Wednesday. One of my tomatoes is 6.5 feet high, staked up. This is amazing to me.
Last night we ate at the Magic Wok. I had pepper chicken with tomatoes. Pepper chicken means with green peppers. (I thought it meant they put pepper on it. :-)
