The cats have all started sneezing. I vaccinated them for distemper last fall, but several have been rather miserable. They sneeze and sneeze; they wash ‘n rub, wash ‘n rub their noses. Then they finally settle down by the hearth to warm themselves. Shakespeare and Orion seem to be the most miserable. I talked to the vet and I will keep an eye on them.

Hi, Jean-- I was just browsing your site today and my son came over and hijacked the session--he loves the cat pictures. He hopesyou post more of them every day! For my part, I do, too, but I also liked your outline for teaching composition. Thank you for posting it.

We have 16 cats--and 400 acres of land :-). Two are housecats, but I allow the children to bring the outside cats into the sun porch as long as they are being watched.

Ears, Blackie, Nickabrick (aka Mama Kitty), Ruffy, Bright (Not So), Charcoal, Spit Fire, Citrus, Shakespeare, Aslan, and the kittens, Oreo, Orion, William of Orange and Betelegeuse (Named after an orange star in the constellation Orion). India Ink and Snowflake are our inside cats. All of them have been spayed and neutered now, and Mama Kitty usually has only one litter each year--so I do have hopes that we will someday have fewer cats, but I do so hate to lose them!

I'd like a dog to walk with me in the country, but I do not want to take care of him. Neigher does my dh...

Well, all but Mama Kitty has been spayed and neutered. I suppose there is a reason for logic class here...

My favorite name is Bright (Not so.) That cat would fit right in here.

Hope you are feeling better.
