When I was out walking yesterday, I snapped a picture of Ruffy. She was sitting on the deck waiting for JM to feed her. She looked perfectly comfortable and calm in spirit. Don’t you wonder just how much snow would have piled up on her before she stood to shake it off? She’s a beauty.

I just love Ruffy with all that fur and flakes of snow!
Jean,
Your farm is spectacular. Thanks for sharing your blog (this is the first one I have ever been to!)on TWTM message board. I am so curious if you grew up on a farm or if farmlife is new to you. I have such an adventurous spirit - I would love to move and start a whole new way of life! It looks so wonderful to be close to nature the way God intended it!
Kristi
Thanks, Kristi :-)
Farm life is wonderful and stressful. We have soooo much nature and beauty around us, but farming is a lot of work and we are dependent upon the weather for our livelihood. We do have solitude and quiet, but activities for the children are far away, and in a small town area, we do not have as many opportunites as those in the larger city.
I like to tell folks that before moveing to the country, be sure to see that there are pros and cons to life out here. Once you are here, though, it is time to make the best of the opportunities that you have--and that holds true with every situation in life, right?
Come and visit again, Jean
Oops--I didn't answer your question! My dh grew up on a farm, but I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. :-)
Patty in WA here...
Ruffy is gorgeous. I think one of the most beautiful things in the world is the arc of a cat's head to its back.
My son now insists that we check your blog every day for cat pictures. He likes Ears the best, but this one of Ruffy does me in.
