My children all wondered what our cat Horatio was doing in Wisconsin, working on Biology (-: I will have to post a picture of him -- huge, furry, and white and orange. They could be twins (at least from this angle.) Is this one of The Enemies?
Well, to India Ink all of the outside cats are an enemy, although the kittens are the worst--they bounce around and pay no attention to her "territory". They even (gasp!) play with HER tail!!
This is Shakespeare. He is almost 2 years old and he does not realize that he has grown up. He thinks he is a kitten and acts like one in every way--but he is sooooo big it is funny to watch. He misses his brother who got hit in the road and tries to love every cat on the farm. He even rubs his fuzzy body across India's face...which of course does NOT come off with a positive response. He pounces on the kittens and the SQUEAL!!!
On my Web site if you click on Fairview Classical (www.mhtc.net/~fairview) and scroll down, you can see Shakespeare and his brother, Furcifur curled up together when they were younger.
I am both the wife of an engineer-turned-farmer in the beautiful hills of Wisconsin and the homeschooling mom of 3 teenagers. We raise Simmental cattle and grow corn, and soybeans. We also raise chickens and turkeys for our own use and have laying hens. We are giving our children a Christian classical education,
and this is our 13th year of homeschooling. The night sky is my hobby. I sew, knit, bake bread, cook from scratch, grind wheat, garden, make soap and so much more! Also, I should not forget to tell you that we all love cats! Welcome!
